Company of Heroes is a popular real-time strategy video game series from developer Relic Entertainment. The series first released back in 2006, and it’s since spawned two sequels: Company of Heroes 2 and Company of Heroes Online. Fans of the series are wondering if there will ever be a third installment – and if it will be making its way to the PS4. So, what do we know?
Although there hasn’t been any official word from developers Relic Entertainment or publisher Sega, there have been major hints at the possibility of a third installment:
Relic Entertainment has been busy hiring developers and designers, leading many to believe that they’re working on a new game – possibly Company of Heroes 3.
There have been a few leaks and rumors from unidentified sources claiming that a third installment may be in the works, with a potential 2020 release date.
Sega has recently released a remastered version of Company of Heroes 2 for the Xbox One, which points to the franchise still being active.
At this point, there’s no indication that Company of Heroes 3 will be coming to the PS4. Without any official word, we can only make educated guesses based on the hints we have.
That being said, the franchise has had a console release before – most recently with Company of Heroes 2 on the Xbox One. It’s entirely possible that Relic and Sega could decide to port the game to the PS4, so it’s something for fans of the franchise to keep an eye on.
While there is no hard evidence that Company of Heroes 3 is coming, there are still a few indicators that may point towards it. While it is unlikely at this point, there is still a chance that the game could make its way to the PS4. Until Relic Entertainment or Sega make an official statement, we won’t know for sure.
