Developer Endnight Games has announced that Sons of the Forest will launch on December 9th 2020. The game is the sequel to the acclaimed survival horror The Forest, which was launched in 2018.
Sons of the Forest is the sequel to The Forest and promises to take the same intense survival horror gameplay to the next level. Players will take control of Eric Leblanc, who has returned to The Forest’s cursed island to face the reawakened ancient horrors that lurk within.
Sons of the Forest introduces lots of exciting new features to the franchise. Most notably, the game has a smooth and fast-paced combat system, allowing players to take on larger and more dangerous enemies. Additionally, players are able to craft, upgrade and construct their own weapons and tools to survive in the brutal environment.
Players will also have to manage their energy levels, as energy drains faster in the dark and when being attacked by enemies. To stay alive they will have to scavenge, hunt and build shelter wherever they can find it.
Sons of the Forest will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Pre-orders have already begun, and those who pre-order will receive exclusive content.
Sons of the Forest will be released on December 9th, 2020 and will be available for a retail price of $39.99.
