Shotgun Sons of the Forest (SSF) is an American indie rock/Americana band based in Houston, Texas and formed in 2016 by brothers Jesse and Joe Tucker.
The brothers grew up in a family of musicians. Together, they use their upbringing, which draws inspiration from a variety of genres and decades, to create a unique and inspired sound. The band’s music, which encompasses everything from folk-rock to blues and classic country, reflects their Southern roots and the timeless stories that grow out of that part of the world.
Their debut album, “The Curse of the True Cherokees,” was released in 2017. Since then, SSF has become a regular touring act, playing venues across the country.
