Dashie was always an adventurous girl and enjoyed discovering new places. When her mom suggested the recently discovered and mysterious Carson House, Dashie couldn’t turn down the offer. While her friends opted out of going due to the rumors about the place, Dashie decided she didn’t believe in superstitions and packed her bag in excitement.
The moment Dashie stepped into the estate, she was overwhelmed by an eerie feeling. Everywhere she looked, there was a dense fog and the trees surrounding the house seemed to have been there for centuries. Even though the sun was shining, the landscape seemed to be in a gray haze, as if it was trying to hide secrets from the past.
When Dashie entered the house, all her hopes and excitement were kicked out. The whole house felt chilling and dusty, like no one had every lived there nor showed any affection to it. As Dashie began exploring it’s empty and long corridors, she noticed a surprisingly uncomfortable pain in her chest. The further she went, the stronger the feeling of dread and terror.
Soon Dashie was running as fast as she could out of the house. As if someone was trying to hurt her, she was overwhelmed with a sensation in her chest. Although, she had no factual event to back it up, she knew it was an deep feeling of terror. She couldn’t pin point what it was exactly that she felt, but whatever it was, she never wanted to set foot in Carson House ever again.
No one knows exactly why Dashie felt so scared in Carson House, some people believe it to be a haunted house because of the reports of paranormal activity. What matters, though, is that Dashie will never take the risk of visiting again. She knows it’s best to avoid such places, where our minds cannot always understand what we fear.
