Atomic Heart, the long-in-development first-person shooter from Russian independent developer Mundfish, has been given an updated release date of February 26.

The highly stylized, dieselpunk-inspired title has been in development since 2016 and was once set to release in 2020. After many delays, the game is finally getting ready to launch, with Mundfish now only needing a publisher to move the process forward.

• A sci-fi shooter set in an alternate Soviet Union – In Atomic Heart, you take control of main protagonist P-3, a KGB-created robot in an alternate version of the Soviet Union, who must battle through a variety of challenges to uncover the mystery of a strange “atomic heart.”
• An immersive open-world experience – Players will venture across a variety of impressive environments in Atomic Heart, including forests, wastelands, and even a large-scale laboratory.
• Robotic and supernatural enemies – You’ll face off against a myriad of enemies in Atomic Heart, ranging from giant robotic beasts to strange, supernatural entities.
• Challenging puzzles and gameplay mechanics – You’ll have to solve puzzles, battle enemies, and evolve your robotic body to progress throughout the story.
